We compile the customer analyses in 3 steps:
1. Updating and cleansing addresses
Incorrect or incomplete addresses are costly: They increase the costs for customer contact (such as returns, delivery costs or call centre costs) and are of no use in your direct marketing campaigns. Improve you data quality so that mailshots and campaigns arrive safely. This means data cleansing in particular. Complementing your addresses with the D&B D-U-N-S® number and synchronisation with the D&B reference database ensures that an address is correct. Companies are identified accurately, duplicate entries are recognised and companies who have ceased to operate are marked as ‘out of business’. This provides you with a list of addresses that can be used for your direct mail campaigns.
2. Enhancing your addresses with additional attributes
Find out more about existing addresses and use your master data for future marketing campaigns. D&B can enhance your company addresses by supplementing them with important marketing information. More than 50 elements can be added, for example:
- Contact details such as phone number or email address (if available)
- Name and nationality of the owner, for individual companies
- Name of parent company or the highest global holding company
- Number of affiliated companies in Switzerland or worldwide
- Industrial sector, employees, turnover, capital
- Age of company
- Import-export indicator
3. Filtering your best potential for each target market
We reveal your individual potential new customers. Using the profiles of your most profitable customers, we select similar companies from our database for you. At the same time, we provide important information for market cultivation, such as how high your market penetration is for each industrial sector or how many companies are not yet customers of yours. Using the D&B family tree we can also provide you with all of the subsidiaries and affiliate companies of your existing customers for even more effective key account management.
